I live near the intersection of 3rd and Melody, and there is a vacant lot on the Southwest corner. When we moved in about five years ago we were told that the lot was purchased as a right-of-way for a road. It is mowed regularly. On the north side of the lot, someone built a dirt bicycle jump very close to the road. Almost daily, young teenagers are using the jump, and landing on Melody with their momentum carrying them out into traffic. Due to the close proximity to Montgomery Middle and Granite Hills High School, this jump is dangerous.

Can this ramp be removed or blocked by the police? At one time there was a fence across it, but it is buried in the dirt. It would be tragic if someone got hurt.

Cal Trans fenced off the vacant lot at 3rd & Melody this week. this should stop the children from jumping their bikes into the street
