Bike Team

The Police Bike team works out of the Special Operations Unit of the Police Department.  These Officers are tasked with patrolling the downtown area of El Cajon as well as the city parks.  Bicycle Officers will often respond to emergency radio calls to assist Officers in the Patrol Division.  They will often arrive before the patrol officers since the can negotiate traffic much easier.  The Officers also work special events such as the Fourth of July celebration and the Mother Goose Parade.  Their high level of mobility affords the Bike Officers the ability to quickly access areas that are more difficult for traditional police vehicles.
